What is 30 Days of Summer Internship Programme (SIP)?
The 30 Days of Summer Internship Programme (SIP) is a KPUM initiative aimed to connect law students with our legal partners. It is a structured internship programme, with a one-stop, online application form which allows you to apply to many Malaysian law firms at once. The programme spans over a period of two months and is structured so that successful applicants will be rotated between 2 firms, spending a month in each firm. The rotation system allows applicants the opportunity to experience different work cultures, and maximises their exposure to several law firms within a short period of time.
How is it different from other internships?
· It acts as a one stop application process which allows you to apply to all of our partner firms at once.
· Provides an opportunity for you to build vital soft skills through side events organised in collaboration with our legal partners.
· Exposure to like-minded individuals and work cultures of different law firms
Applicants are required to complete an online application form and submit their CVs. They will be assessed based on the quality of their answers and submitted CVs, with 50% weightage allocated to each criteria. If successful, applicants will then be invited to complete a competency-based interview.
Once the initial rounds of screening has completed, short-listed applications will be sent to our partner law firms for the final round of review and selection around early March. The firms will have up to 3 weeks to assess the applications, during which the partners may request to interview the applicants.
