With the rapid advent of technology opening a new chapter in the legal industry, barristers and solicitors alike have found themselves swept up in a wave of change in their practice in ways that were unthinkable just decades ago. To discover more about this new era, @GenCorporate and @KPUM proudly hosted the second iteration of The Future of Law forum this past week, where several solicitors from various leading firms in the UK spoke about their experiences dealing with these changes, and what this meant for them and their firms.
We are extremely grateful to have had the insights of Ms. Edwina Morgan, Mr. Jason Teng, Mr. Sam Folley, and Ms. Bertilla Chow, who answered questions ranging from how legal tech has affected their daily work, the likelihood of AI replacing practicing lawyers, and the rise of Alternative Legal Service Providers (ALSPs). We are also thankful to Datuk SK Lingam, Advisor of GenCorporate, for delivering the keynote speech at the forum - and we look forward to revisiting this topic next year to see how the winds of legal tech have shifted again!
